Still Life

  1. (Commenting on the top picture) I first notice the splash of blue paint on the white background and then I notice the orange bucket on the right. It reminds me of a time when my friends and I went to paint a children's shelter and as we put down the bucket, paint just came splashing out. Looking at this picture makes me feel happy, I very much enjoy painting, especially splatter paint, so it gives this boost of energy to want and go paint. When I look away, I remember the bold line of paint right off-center of the photo.

  2. First of all I absolutely enjoy looking at all your posts on your blog. When I look at this I immediately notice the bright colors of the bucket and paint. The image reminds me of when we moved out to Long Island and I was forced to be the painter in my family and paint everyones rooms and different areas of the house. The image makes me feel kind of relaxed in a way where I feel like my days as being the family painter is finally over. When I look away I remember the orange bucket.
